Rinôçérôse y Calvin Harris se incorporan al festival Arenal Sound 2011 –que se celebrará en la localidad castellonense de Burriana del 4 al 7 de agosto— como nuevos cabezas de cartel y se unen a los ya anunciados Scissor Sisters, The Charlatans, Vetusta Morla y The Third Twin, ha anunciado la organización en un comunicado.
Arenal Sound 2011 se convierte así en una de las referencias musicales del verano al contar con «excepcionales» artistas de renombre nacional e internacional entre los que también se encuentran The Suicide of Western Culture, Russian Red, Vive la Fête, Delorean, Dos Bandas y un Destino, El Guincho, Dorian, Supersubmarina, Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, Canteca de Macao y Pol 3.14 entre otros, han asegurado las mismas fuentes.
Tras recorrer medio mundo, los franceses Rinôçérôse se encuentran inmersos en la preparación del nuevo disco. Jean-Philippe Freu y Patrice Carrié comenzaron su andadura a finales de los 90, pero fue en 2005 cuando se convirtieron en una de las sensaciones de la escena electrónica mundial gracias a ‘Schizophonia’.
Canciones imprescindibles en las que mezclan la energía y los beats electrónicos con la fuerza de la guitarra. Hace dos años publicaron su quinto trabajo, ‘Futurinô’. Ritmos pegadizos con grandes dosis de hedonismo que hacen de Rinôçerôse un grupo inconfundible, han asegurado desde el certamen.
Calvin Harris es uno de los DJ’s y productores más destacados en el terreno de la música de baile internacional. De origen escocés, publicó su primer álbum de estudio en 2007 bajo el título de ‘I Created Disco’.
Dos años más tarde llegaría su segundo y último disco ‘Ready for the Weekend’. Desde entonces no ha parado de promocionarlo por todo el mundo y sus temas han alcanzado los primeros puestos en las listas musicales internacionales. Recientemente, Calvin Harris ha lanzado su último single, ‘Awooga’, mientras realiza una gira con Rihanna desempeñando su papel de DJ.
Otra de las incorporaciones es The Suicide of Western Culture, formado por dos personajes de «ciencia-ficción» que crearon sus canciones desde un hostal para estudiantes en Londres, y que se ha convertido en una de las sensaciones de la electrónica. Con sintonías lo-fi que recrean aquellos sonidos de las bandas de los 90 que tanto admiran como Disco Inferno o Tortoise, hacen una post-electrónica instrumental basada en lo palpable, una verdadera revolución de las máquinas.
En los próximos días se darán a conocer nuevos cabezas de cartel de Arenal Sound 2011, que se ha convertido en el festival nacional más aclamado de Internet con más de 85.000 seguidores en las principales redes sociales.
